"Studies have shown how playing the piano aids in brain development!  It is the ultimate instrument in terms of skill and demand.  Two hands have to play together simultaneously developing right or left   handedness.  Playing the piano strengthens the weaker side of the brain to more closely match their dominant  side,  making their mind efficient in every way."

Piano Lessons - Information and Registration Form

Piano lessons will be held once per week for one, half hour, up to 4 times per month. If the student would like a class on the 5th week of the month, they may pay an extra $10.  Lessons are held in Natalie's home. The student will be responsible to bring their own piano books consisting of a Theory, Technique, Lesson, Performance Books, and a blank notebook.  They may also be asked to purchase other technique books as needed.

Piano Students are given the opportunity to participate in the Aberdeen Duet Festival in the fall and the Aberdeen Solo Festival in the Spring.

Piano Students may be asked to perform in a Christmas Recital and in a Spring recital. Natalie will assist them to find festival pieces and recital pieces.

Piano Requirements:  Students are expected to practice 5 days per week for a minimum time appropriate to their level. For example, it is recommended that students ages 7-9 practice 20 minutes daily and students ages 10-13 practice 30-45 minutes a day. It is imperative that the student read the instructions written in their lesson binder in order to make progress each week. Students must bring all materials to the lesson (binders, books, etc.). Remember to keep your fingernails trimmed short, because fingers don’t curve properly with long nails. Parents are to maintain communication regarding progress and problems in order to mutually work toward the student’s musical goals, development, and enjoyment.

Tuition: Tuition is due at the beginning of the month, by the 10th of the month.  There are no refunds for no-show lessons. If a student needs to miss a lesson, please let Natalie know 24 hours in advance.  Another lesson may be rescheduled if possible, depending upon schedules, up to one reschedule, per month. In

In the event that Natalie is ill or cannot teach a lesson (besides the scheduled holidays and vacations listed on the calendar), the lesson will be rescheduled or the cost of the lesson will be refunded.

There is a $5 Registration Fee per student. This is to cover printing/copy costs and time spent finding recital pieces.

Monthly Tuition:
$40 or $10 per lesson
