Instructor - About Natalie

Dance:
Natalie started dancing when she was just 3 years old. Throughout her years she trained in classical ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, and tap. Her training landed her roles in both the Ballet West and Mountain West Nutcrackers and dance competitions in the western states.
During high school, she was a member of the Bingham HS Dance Company for 3 years and became a finalist in the Sterling Scholar Competition. She went on to receive dance scholarships and was selected to be on the dance team at UVU. She graduated from BYU with a Bachelors Degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development, and a Minor in Music. Since then she has had many opportunities to choreograph for dance teams, plays, and musicals.
Music and movement have always been a part of Natalie's life, and she is so excited to help captivate the love of dance in her young students.

Piano:
Natalie took 8 years of private piano lessons, participating in recitals, solo festivals, and piano composition. While in high school she received college credit in Music Theory and went on to graduate from BYU with a Minor in Music. She teaches students at beginning and intermediate levels.

Voice:
Natalie started singing before she could talk. At 5 years old she started participating in performing groups. She then auditioned for the Salt Lake Children's Choir. With that came opportunities to perform at Abravanel Hall and record and perform with musicians such as Kurt Bestor and Sam Cardon. She took group and private voice lessons all throughout her growing up years. She also participated in the top choir ensembles in her high school: Cantatrice and then Madrigals.
She furthered her experience through performing in recitals and vocal festivals in both Utah and California. After high school, she continued with college voice lessons and participated in college choirs, and extra-cirricular choirs including the fireside groups, "From the Heart" and "Latter-Day Sounds." She joined Jenny Phillips and her choir, and had the opportunity to tour the Eastern United States, England, Wales, Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, and Germany and recorded on several of her albums and other artist's albums including some EFY albums.
